We have been very busy collecting new data. With 30 different Eucalyptus species grown by Bree, Josef and I designed an experiment to measure temperature responses of photosyntheisis and respiration on all these species. The goal is to assess how these trees can adapt to climate warming and how that is reflected in their future geographical distributions.
This was then followed by an experiment in collaboration with the Nicotra lab (ANU) and Leigh lab (UTS) to test the limits of heat tolerance in these species. All lab members came out to help and it was an intense but successfull set of experiments... now for the writing up!
